Checker Tobi 3 startet wieder da, wo alles anfängt. Tobi hat ein altes Kinderrätsel im Kopf: Wer hinterlässt die tiefsten Spuren in der Erde? Und klar, das lässt er nicht einfach ruhen. Also zieht es ihn raus in die Welt, von Madagaskar bis Spitzbergen, dann runter nach Mexiko. Überall gräbt er nicht nur im Boden, sondern auch in den Hinweisen, bis die Dinge ein Muster ergeben, das viel weniger geheim ist als man denkt. Das Ganze ist Wissenschaft als Abenteuerspielplatz. Teilweise kindlich-naiv, teilweise überraschend stimmig. Wer auf Fakten steht, aber keine Lust auf trockene Vorträge hat, wird hier gut abgeholt.
